AllSono: free ultrasound training – from students for students
Facultas nostra 2022, February
In the academic year 2021/2022, the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen have launched ultrasound courses organized by the student organization AllSono under the kind support of prof. MUDr. Jan Beneš, Ph.D., head of the Department of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Medicine of the University Hospital in Pilsen. This project, completely free of charge, has been successfully running at the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague already since 2018 and it enables students and young medics to get practical training in sonography and learn or just refresh its basic principles and rules.
The project has been inspired by today’s partner of AllSono organization, the Austrian organization Sono4You performing the same activity in Austria and Germany. It was founded by the fourth-year students, who are today the graduates of the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague – MUDr. Lucie Hoznauerová and MUDr. Karolína Nedvědová from the Czech parallel class together with MUDr. Daniel Stein and MUDr. Xenia Reich from the English parallel class. The main aim was to offer 100% practical and free courses to students of both parallel classes, who could meet, cooperate and develop their skills.
At the moment AllSono offers the courses Ultrasound Basics, Ultrasound Abdomen and Musculoskeletal and the courses E-FAST and Ultrasound Lungs will be coming soon. Currently our Faculty’s team, led by the six-year students Klaudie Schlachtová and Petr Pelnář, offers the course Ultrasound Basics taught in Czech and in English. Inthe summer semester of this academic year, the course Ultrasound Abdomen should be also available in Pilsen. In case students are interested in any other courses mentioned above, they can sign up anytime for the courses taking place at the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague.
AllSono posts all information and news on the social media (@allsono.cz) and on the website (bit.ly/allsono), where you can also sign up for all courses in Pilsen and in Prague.
All our team is grateful for your support and we are looking forward to meeting you at our courses!
